Cinderella & Prince Dom — Top Ten reasons why I LOVED this book

1. The Cover and the characters. Cinderella is my favorite Princess of all time and yes, I still cry when she gets her Prince.
2. Cosplay with BDSM. Haven’t read that in a while and boy, did Ms. St. Claire nail it. Pleasure Manor run by a Dom and Domme. Oh and NO its NOT a typical BDSM club. It’s almost like Fantasy Island without the creepy Tatoo.
3. I want a carriage and glass slippers.
4. Don’t let the word “Dom” scare you. This isn’t about dungeons or anything hard-core at all. In fact, the only hard-core thing is the sex itself. Oh it’s beyond hawt but there is a point to it. Read the excerpt above and you will understand.  Check out the link to read all ten reasons

Cinderella & Prince Dom —  This was so much fun packed in only 84 pages.

Nicole-Books N Pearls on September 21, 2014

The synopsis intrigued me; the idea of Cinderella with a BDSM twist definitely piqued my curiosity. Jaimie is painted as a woman of courage with strong morals and a boring sex life. You can respect her for being so brave to blow the whistle on an embezzling ring at work, even though it gets her fired. So when her friend Lucy signs her up for a weekend as a Sub with an anonymous Dom benefactor, you have begun to connect with her and want her to go and have a good time. The premise may cause concern that a Cinderella story could be cheesy, but the author does a brilliant job at painting a sexy weekend. The Dom chose Jaimie for a reason, and that plot is intriguing enough to provide something to the story other than the sexual element, but wasn’t too heavy and distracting. The sex was hot. HOT. The role-playing of all the fairy tales was a cute twist. I would definitely not have any qualms about picking up other books in the series. I only wish the book was a little longer. The story was not lacking in resolution, but I thought it was well crafted enough that I didn’t want it to end.

Cinderella & Prince Dom —  Sydney St. Claire, you did a great job!

She’s a typical, down-on-her-luck Cinderella, but he’s no typical prince. After a steamy weekend at Pleasure Manor, life will be anything but typical.
BDSM at it’s best. Bryce is a Dom with a heart. Jaimie learns to submit without losing her independence. Both have motivation, goals and develop as the story progresses. Yes, there is a story. A really good one.
The length of this story is perfect for a free evening of relaxation. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Snow & Her Huntsman — I LOVED IT!!!

… was an absolutely wonderful mix of the BDSM/kink and the lovey-dovey stuff that saps like me enjoy reading about. Along those lines, I loved how Rylee was totally believable; a “newbie” to the BDSM scene, she was skeptical, as I assume most people would be, and she did not hold back her feelings in that regard! She even poked some fun at it to get a rise out of Hunter (no pun intended).  Also along those lines, this book wasn’t just about the bondage or the domination or the sex. Rylee ad Hunter had a real STORY…

Red & Her Big Bad Dom —  “He laughed without humor. She refused to date The Geek, but she’d do whatever The Wolf ordered.”

MsRomanticReads on December 22, 2014

This was another great, deliciously sexy read in the Once Upon a Dom series. Lucy’s story didn’t start where the first one left off. Instead, it took place parallel to the first book, but from Lucy and Graham’s POV. That approach was executed very well because huge chunks of Jaimie and Bryce’s story wasn’t used as filler (it was nice seeing them through this couple’s eyes though), and it made this readable as a standalone.  I liked Lucy in the first book, and the way she nudged her best friend along to how protective she was of Jaimie. This time we got to see a different side of her. She was divorced, but her cheating ex-husband turned her off completely to geeky men. Even sexy ones. As we learned in book one, Lucy worked for Bryce, and Graham was the company VP. And a geek with a secret. There was a bit of backstory that established Graham and Lucy’s relationship, all the way down to the deception, quite believably.  I loved the contrast between their interactions in the office and at the BDSM masquerade weekend……

…..Their only hurdle being that Graham didn’t know how to reveal himself to Lucy was left up until the very end. The big reveal didn’t go down like I thought it would. It was even better than I’d expected! I love Lucy, ha!So far I’m really digging this series.

Red & Her Big Bad Dom — From meek geek to Big Bad Wolf, let this Dom devour you

Laura Roberts on November 19, 2014

The second book in the Once Upon a Dom series, Red and Her Big Bad Dom gets spicier than the previous installment, and I was hooked from the start. Learning more about Jamie’s best friend Lucy – who’s got a wild streak a mile wide and a rule against dating “geeks” – is guaranteed to get you hot and bothered. Especially since the very geek she’s trying to avoid is the Wolf that she wants to devour her!   I’m not sure how anyone can resist a man who wears pants with both the crotch and the ass cut out (wait, aren’t those normally referred to as “chaps”?), but the transformation from meek geek to sexy, bossy Dom definitely suits Graham. I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of his day job and presumed role in the bedroom with the domineering dude he became in the bedroom.

And did I mention he’s all about pleasing his lady love? He notes that like most submissives, he knows Lucy truly controls all of their scenes, which is another big part of why I love this series. Instead of treating BDSM like just another man-controls-woman-for-his-pleasure encounter, author Sydney St. Claire really gets it that it’s always a matter of give and take, of dominance and submission wrestling for control, even as the Dom is ostensibly the one wielding the power.

Cinderella & Prince Dom — NOT another 50 shades knockoff

Geneva Handleman on September 21, 2014

Those of you who were introduced to BDSM with Fifty Shades, please read this. THIS, is how it is supposed to work.
I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
Now, I understand this is a short novel, ‘Harlequin’ length, a good quick read, but at the same time, the author gets it. She understands what trust is about. And she writes very well, too. The characters are great, completely believable, their actions are understandable, their reactions are honest. I like these characters. I want to read more of their story. She has the ‘leave them wanting more’ down pat, for sure!
